U.S. Threats Will Never Materialize
WANA (Apr 10) – A senior Iranian military official has dismissed recent threats from the United States as empty rhetoric, emphasizing that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any aggression.
Brigadier General Nasser Arasteh, Deputy of the Supreme Leader’s Military Advisory Group, told reporters on Wednesday that Iran will not be intimidated by “the arrogance of global powers” or by what he described as the “foolish” remarks of the U.S. president.
“As a veteran, I say firmly that these threats will never materialize,” Arasteh stated. “Our armed forces are more than ready to respond, not just in terms of capabilities, but with the deep faith that drives every soldier in our ranks.”
He stressed that Iran’s military strength extends beyond conventional power, rooted in the commitment and belief of its personnel. “For every threat, we have a fitting response — and if needed, we will deliver it with a firm blow to their mouth,” he warned.
Arasteh praised the sacrifices of Iranian martyrs and veterans, calling their legacy a source of enduring strength for the nation’s defense capabilities. He emphasized that faith remains the decisive factor in overcoming any adversary.
“We do not fear their threats. On the contrary, we’ve prepared our forces to respond with authority and determination. We are confident that in any arena, victory belongs to the Iranian nation,” he asserted.
Reflecting on past military experience, Arasteh cited Iran’s history of resistance against internal and external threats, from battling Saddam Hussein to confronting Western interference.
“Our experiences — whether fighting terrorists, separatists, or invaders — have strengthened our position. These are valuable assets that make us more resilient against future threats.”
Regarding indirect talks between Iran and the United States, Arasteh said progress depends on adherence to the Supreme Leader’s guidance.
“If those responsible for negotiations stay aligned with the Leader’s directives, we will come out successful in this indirect dialogue as well,” he concluded.
